    So awesome to have Dixie Lee back. The staff is super friendly and the menu is simple and still cheap like the old days. Definitely recommend taking the time to travel here for a good taste of the past with the absolute best options still available. The hot chicken sandwich has always been a favorite of mine. Yummy all around.

    We had a great time at Dexie Lee.The service was quick, the staff were friendly, and the food was fresh and tasty. Everything was served hot, just the way I like it. The place was clean and well-maintained, making it a pleasant spot for a quick bite. Definitely coming back!

    I have been to this location two times so far. Both experiences have been wonderful. The first time I came with my 2 children. The service was great and the food was amazing. We got our food and ate it at a nearby park. My kids must have loved it as much as I did, because they finished it all. The second time I came here, the service was equally as good. It makes a difference when the staff is friendly. I will definitely continue to come back here and recommend this restaurant to all of my friends and family. Thanks for opening a Dixie Lee back up in Barrie, because I used to love going to the one in the Leacock Plaza many many years ago.

    This is fried chicken done right The perfect amount of crispy skin so you can actually taste the chicken, which is deliciously seasoned. We got fries and gravy and both were made to perfection and super flavourful. So happy there’s a Dixie Lee in Barrie. Tastes exactly like I remember 25 years ago. I WILL be back, likely with my entire family because Dixie Lees are hard to come by these days and it was our all-time favourite. The staff were super friendly, they cooked our whole meal in about 10 minutes, and the atmosphere was very clean. I genuinely hope you succeed because I can’t look at other fried chicken chains the same way again! THANK YOU for helping me relive my childhood

    Chicken popcorn, chicken breast strips & chicken poutine were gone in 60 seconds. Didn't have time to take photos of the food just the empty box. 3rd degree sauce. Everything was crispy & tender. Will definitely order again.

    The couple that owns this restaurant is absolutely amazing....I've always had great service and the chicken is the best around! They have gone above and beyond for me delivering their amazing cinnamon rolls to me after hours .......I can't say enough good things about this place....can't wait to go back!

    Original flavour fried chicken from the east coast. Bright and clean with friendly staff and great chicken. Unfortunately no bathroom here and only a few seats but will be back again.

    This food was incredible! Took about ten minutes and they fresh cooked all our chicken and fries fresh on the spot. The conversation with the staff was friendly and lighthearted and the atmosphere was very welcoming. I got to treat two people to trying this for the first time after bragging up how good this stuff was in the maritimes compared to Mary Browns and KFC and I have converted them both into fanatics. The fries were crisp, three skin of the chicken was wonderfully crunchy, and the meat was succulent and juicy, well cooked and not greasy at all. Hands down the best friend chicken restaurant. I WILL be returning. Many times. Gleefully. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!
